THE Green Diwali festival at Durban’s iconic Mitchell Park takes place this weekend on Friday, October 21 to Sunday, October 23.The annual event encourages a fireworks-free and vegetarian celebration to make a statement about non-violence and caring for the environment. This year’s event is hosted by the Sivananda World Peace Foundation. The primary aim of Sivananda World Peace Foundation is to promote arts and culture, peace, harmony, non-violence and unity in diversity.
