Dharamshala, India — His Holiness the Dalai Lama received the Sivanda Peace Award from the Sivananda World Peace Foundation for his generous contribution to promotion of Peace, Non-Violence and oneness among humanity in the world.
Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu, President of the Sivananda World Peace Foundation, presented this year's Sivananda Peace Award to His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his residence in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, on November 1, 2022.
According to the Office of Tibet, South Africa, the award was presented to His Holiness the Dalai Lama for his generous contribution to the promotion of peace, non-violence and the unity of humanity in the world. The award has previously been presented to great leaders such as former South African President Nelson Mandela, Winnie Madikizela Mandela, General V K Singh, His Majesty King Zwelithini Goodwill Ka-BhekhuZulu and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu says, “it was an honour and privilege to present this award to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a beacon of Peace, Love and Compassion.
”The Sivananda World Peace Foundation has set up peace pillars throughout Africa to foster good relations between different rural ethnic groups. It promotes unity in the diversity of humanity.
