The Founder of the Sivananda World Peace Foundation, Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu joined the world and Bharat on the 22nd of January 2024 at the Zululand yacht club to celebrate the historic milestone of the Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishta stapana ceremoney. Some 800 community members joined in celebration with colourful festive lights across the venue on the banks of the India ocean.
To mark this occasion a floating platform was erected on the Indian ocean which connects the people of South Africa and India. Shri Ram and the entire Ram Parivar (family) was be placed on the floating platform with colorful lights and flowers as it floated on the Indian ocean.
members of the public was afforded the opportunity to offer flowers and light clay lamps. High profiled Dignitaries gave their glowing tribute to Lord Rama.
Amongst the dignitaries were, His worship the Mayor of King Cetshwayo District Municipality, Cllr Thami Ntulu, His worship the Mayor of Umfolozi local Municipality, Cllr Xolani Bhengu, His Worship the Deputy Mayor of the City of Umhlatuze, Cllr Christo Botha and Sri Radhika Jivan of Iskcon.
A grand display of Zulu and Indian music and dance was performed highlighting the spirit of oneness and togetherness in honour of Lord Rama.
